For all of their occasional flops, flaws, and extraordinary missteps, the one good thing about MEN.COM is that they’re consistently “in on the joke” regarding the absurdity of their scripted porn. Their new series “Homo Renovation” leans into this big time. Chris Damned plays a straight man who’s having his home made over by a crew of handy queer folks. He’s not pleased with the results and winds up delivering the following line:
“What are they doing to my heterosexual home?”
For me, this has been the funniest line delivery of 2021 (so far). The trailer continues to lay on twists and turns. Michael Del Ray convinces Chris that his hard cock is a workplace hazard, and they have to do something about it to ensure the crew’s safety. There’s an obligatory woman who’s oblivious that her husband is having gay sex inches away from her face. And Daisy Taylor shouts “MICHAEL!” in a way that’s damn near iconic.
While the plot of “Homo Renovation” isn’t important—and the previous trailers won’t make it very clear—you can get a gist of how we got here by watching the prequel and part one. There’s no telling how long this series will go, but let’s hope that future installments maintain this thoroughly goofy tone.
